Argo is a project developed by a group of friends sharing a passion for sailing and an association - Sportdipiù of Torino - dedicated to support disabled people to practice sport. The project was presented to the public during the last Winter Paralympics Games of Torino 2006, with the support of local Mayor Sergio Chiamparino.
Argo is a challenge to the next America’s Cup and a challenge aimed at changing the usual concept of “normal”, to show the world that achieving big goals is possible notwithstanding disability. To show that in sport like in life barriers can be overcome if one has determination, passion, team spirit and is professional at all times.
One strong and universal message, communicated by common people, people outside of the common standards.
